Kostume Karaoke at Bar 7 and The Wonderland Ballroom

May the odds forever be in your favor!!!

Are you up to compete? Do you have what it takes? Do you have a costume? Get ready to compete at The Wonderland Ballroom, Bar 7, and to be in the Kostume Karaoke Competition to be held April 30th, 2015 at the Rock and Roll Hotel on H St. NE.

3 Winners will be chosen from the 1st 20/30 Minutes of each karaoke show to be advanced to the next round.

A round will be held every Tuesday at Wonderland and every Wed and Saturday at Bar 7 (a winner will advance every Wednesday from Bar 7 for both days).

The winner or winners for Wonderland will be chosen on April 29th to advance to the finals. The winners for Bar 7 will be chosen on April 30th to advance to the finals - Thursday, April 30, 2015.

Those who wish to compete will need to be energetic, have a costume, be entertaining, have fun, move the crowd, win the crowd and the judges and then you can take home the prize.

You must attend and be ready and bring your friends..."win the crowd."

3. Why not socialize or take advantage to meet and greet people in a social setting?
4. Women on the right side of the bar and men on the left?
5. You can say hello or nah?
6. Why are the guys profiling like peacocks?
7. Why huddle in one spot (this is not football)?
8. Social acceptable but why are the ladies dancing by themselves and the fellas are off dancing or not by themselves?

4 Karaoke Parties a Week in the DMV Area

Hello everyone -

I do appreciate your interest and hope that you will bring more karaoke friends like yourself to any of my karaoke parties.

Please know that I am not limited to bars, but can host karaoke at any event that you wish to have with a special interest in charity fundraisers.

What A Very Happy St. Patrick's Day!

A big THANK YOU to all those who came out to party with me at The Wonderland Ballroom. Standing room only is an understatement. We had a record crowd from wall to wall.

Sadly, we had to say goodbye to one of our favorites and loyal supporters. We will miss Javier (misspelled his name 100 times). He will leave us for Ohio soon but promises to return. I will probably be in a karaoke retirement home by then. Nevertheless, we will sorely miss him.

To Lorenzo: If you ever get this, we all love Javier and I wanted to bring him on but management overrides all else. Javier and Tom are very dear to me.I hope you can understand this.

My name is Ralph Freeman and I love karaoke.

Thanks to my good friends, Dj. India and Carlos Wilcox, I got my chance to do something awesome in a low point of my life and that is to host karaoke.

I was down on my luck and had lost my job due to lay offs. India reached out to me to host karaoke at Bar Nun (currently, Club Pure/Pure Lounge). I was jittery and excited but took the job and from there I have been rolling through the Metropolitan area every since.

I had the great pleasure of working in some of the areas best bars, hotels, and restaurants. I never knew that I would be hosting karaoke and loving it! I thoroughly enjoying singing all kinds of songs and to hear other singing as well. I have had some awesome adventures these past 11 year.

Singing and hosting karaoke for the past 11 years has been a great joy of my life. It has introduced me too some awesome people and helped me to forge some wonderful friendships along the way. I cannot imagine a life without karaoke and I am so grateful for each encounter, experience, and adventure.

As your karaoke host (Karaoke Jockey or KJ), it is my delightful duty to ensure that all people feel invited, welcomed, and encouraged to sing whatever they desire to sing and however they like to sing it. I do my best to make certain that we all have fun together. Now, where they get the courage is up to them but as a Karaoke Jockey and MC, I do whatever it takes to make it all happen with emphasis on fun, fun, fun, and more fun.

With over 10 years of experience, I bring digitally mastered karaoke where ever and whenever you want it to be. My passion and philosophy is to create an environment of fun and laughter through song for everyone.
